Capsize Drill

1st June 2019 14:30 - 16:30

Capsize Drill, in conjunction with BBLRC, at St. Paul's School pool

All welcome, even if you have done a drill before and would like a refresher.

If you haven't done a drill before then please make every effort to attend this one-off session which will be run by a qualified coach. British Rowing obliges all members to complete a capsize drill and swim test and this is a condition of your club membership.

You will be instructed in how to safely extract yourself from a capsized boat and then use the boat as a buoyancy aid. You'll then be expected to demonstrate that procedure and well as swim 50m in your rowing kit.

You will need normal rowing kit, a towel and a change of clothes.
