Cygnet RC is a Civil Service club. You don't need to be a Civil or Public Servant to join the club but members of the Civil Service Sports Council do pay a smaller subscription. Even if you're not in the CSSC, our subs are probably the most competitive of any Tideway rowing club.
The Cygnet annual subscription rates for this season are as follows:
Full member with CSSC discount*
Aged 23 and under in full time higher education
Complete beginners will have to first undertake a Learn to Row course. The cost of the course will then be deducted from your subscription if you decide to join the club once the course is complete
Membership of Cygnet RC is by application and your application to join will be voted upon by the committee.
Membership is conditional on you obeying the rules of the club and the committee reserves the right to eject members who do not conduct themselves accordingly or bring the club into disrepute.
Cygnet Rowing Club is affiliated to the Civil Service Sports Council (CSSC). Members of the CSSC are eligible for a discount on their annual subscription. Membership of the CSSC is open to civil servants and many other public sector workers, and most recently to friends of CSSC members through Linked Membership. If you think you might be eligible to join the CSSC please visit the CSSC Website
