Coxing

Welcome   FAQs   Find us   Contact the captaincy   Join   Learn to row   Subs   Coaching    Training

Like most clubs we are alway on the look-out for cox'ns. Experienced coxes are very welcome but we also to take on novice coxswains and teach them how to do it. And once you've learned to cox on the Tideway, you can cox anywhere!

All steers including coxes are required to take the club steering test before being allowed onto the river unaccompanied and if you are not familiar with the Tideway, you will start by only coxing experienced crews with qualified steersmen in the crew.

We very much value coxes at Cygnet. So much so that we do not usually charge them subs.

Please use the form below if you are interested in joining us as a cox.
