Cygnet Henley Lunch - UPDATED

Although Leander Club still had not confirmed that the Cygnet Henley Lunch would be able to go ahead, the Cygnet Management Committee has taken the decision to cancel this year's lunch. As with most things, this decision has been forced on us by the guidelines surrounding ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the reasons for it are, we hope, very obvious.

With dwindling numbers and rising costs there are serious discussions about continuing with this fixture in the future. The overriding feeling is that the Cygnet Henley Lunch at Leander Club will be removed from the calendar but it you have a strong opinion either way about the future of the lunch please contact the Chairman or Social Secretary. We are discussing replacement options for this event with something else and any constructive views about how that would also be welcome.

The Committee would like to extend it's gratitude to Stuart Gibbons for all his efforts in organising this event in recent years and to Phil Beckett who organised the lunch prior to Stuart.
