Captain's Log 26/03

Race News:

A weekend full of exceptional racing and strong performances.

Cambridge served up a generous appetiser with a 4-0 drubbing of Oxford on the Saturday, before the main course of the Vets Head on Sunday. The peak performance of the day from the Cygnet Masters "E" crew finishing 19/29 in category just a few seconds behind our friends from Rudergesellschaft Benrath.

Thanks from Warsaw RC to Sam for being a last minute supersub.

I hope many beers were sunk in the bar over the weekend; haven't had any reports back yet, so assuming it was business as usual.

This week:

Thursday erg: 6 x 500m at 2k pace, followed by dinner (and/or pub)

Saturday/Sunday - outings dependent on availability; 8pm Wednesday cutoff on fitclub.

With the lighter evenings now, seniors should consider boat lights if you're taking out a club boat after work during April.

Next week:

Thursday night - squad meeting and boat loading for Sculling Camp

Sat/Sun 7/8 April - Sculling Camp at Shepperton.
