XCV Deneb Captain's Log

26th March 2021

Happy Friday Cygnets,

Hope everyone is doing well. So little by little light at the end of the tunnel. 3 Days to go.

It has been a long time so please take it easy on the return to the water, be kind with yourself (please see this document). Don't forget safety first. Here you can see the last update from British Rowing regarding return to rowing protocols.

Facilities will be open to allow COVID-Secure boating - it means quick In-Out, leave valuables, ideally no changing, no faffing (no bikes in the changing room), no activities in the shed.

On water Activity: All crew boats are allowed subject to COVID Secure protocols. For us it means Squad Outings as usual following the guidelines, taking into account limitation of space on the hard and no social gathering of people afterwards in the club vicinity. Please try to cover your face inside the boat shop and indoors since it is an area where it is difficult to maintain social distance.

Self-Organised outings:

As previously book your slots in this excel file

Squad Training/Outings:

Objective is to get everyone little by little on the water, first to have fun and then building up towards the summer. Starting Easter Weekend - Sessions are provisionally in fitclub - Please update your availability so we can start to plan best.

S&C Condition with Charlie will be starting Wednesday 7th April. Circuits and mobility plan can be found on the google sheets.

And I think that is all for the moment. More will follow in due course. If you have any questions please check with the captaincy.

Have a nice weekend and a safe return to the water
Cris
