ATTENTION! Barnes Bridge Arch Closure
23rd August 2021
The north/inshore/#1 arch of Barnes Bridge will be closed to navigation for significant periods from Tuesday 23rd August. This closure is due the installation of the foot bridge under the arch. Full details are in the Current Safety Notices here.
This is obviously going to have a big impact on Cygnet, BBL, EMA and TTRC, boating from so close to the bridge works. Please examine the temporary navigation carefully which has been agreed by the TRRC and PLA.
However boating to and from our hard must now be undertaken with EXTREME CAUTION. If in any doubt at all, the club's advice is to stay downriver of Barnes Bridge, particularly if not supervised from a launch.
This work will also probably cause silting or changes to the foreshore.
