DIRECTIONS
Train
The train is probably the easiest way to get to the club on public transport. Barnes Bridge is a mainline station on the 'Hounslow loop' between Waterloo and Weybridge and is just a short walk over the bridge, on the other side of the river. Trains run every 15 minutes during the week but only once an hour on Sundays. The footbridge is on the London-bound/down-river side of Barnes Bridge (Platform 1).
Bus
The 209 and 419 busses run between Hammersmith and Mortlake or Richmond respectively and the bus stop is right next to Barnes Bridge on the other side of the river from the boat house.
Tube
The most convenient tube is at Hammersmith as it is served by the busses mentioned above.
Road
Dukes Meadows can be accessed at either end from the A316 on the north (Chiswick) side of the river:
The best option (and only option with high vehicle or if towing a boat trailer) is via Riverside Drive at the crossroads with A316 and Staveley Road. You will pass sports grounds on both sides before a 90° right turn takes you along the riverside and past the Band Stand. Ours is the first boathouse that you come to from that direction, on the left hand side.
You can also come via Dan Mason Drive at the crossroads with A316 and Hartington Road, just off the north side of Chiswick bridge. You will pass Tideway Scullers School on the right and Dukes Meadows Golf Club on the left. Eventually you will jink around Chiswick boathouse on the right, under the railway popping-out opposite the Riverside Heath & Rackets club. Turn right and continue around the 90° left hand bend which takes you behind our boathouse and onto Dukes Meadows.
Bike
As per the road, obviously but bikes can also approach via the path alongside the railway from Chiswick Station or along the towpath from Hammersmith. If coming from the Surrey side of the river you will have to carry a bike up and down Barnes Bridge
