WELCOME TO CYGNET ROWING CLUB

Thanks for dropping by. Cygnet Rowing Club is a well established rowing club with great facilities and an enviable location close to Barnes Railway Bridge on the Thames Tideway in West London. We enjoy ourselves on and off the water while maintaining a balance between committed, aspiring athletes and letting our hair down now and again. We are a big enough club to compete in all the major head races, local and more distant regattas, including Henley Royal, but still small enough that you know who everybody is.

Cygnet is a predominantly an adult men's club and we share our boathouse (and more) with our sister club, Barnes Bridge Ladies RC. Both clubs are affiliated to the Civil Service Sports Council (CSSC) but you don't have to be a Civil or Public servant to join either club. Cygnet membership includes senior and development squads who are out on the river for coached sessions each weekend plus training on and off the water during the week. We also accommodate more independent groups who are out sculling or rowing in social crews, picking their best times to enjoy the river. Coaching is provided and included in the cost of your subs.

We welcome new members, whether they are complete beginners, returning to the sport, experienced oarsmen or just club hopping. Experienced rowers will be integrate straight into our established squads and complete beginners will take our Learn To Row course - tailored to give their rowing careers a fast start.

We are passionate about what we do and how lucky we are: why would anyone would waste money on gym membership when they can get fit outside, as part of a team, on this fabulous and famous stretch of the Thames Tideway. Please have a look around the site and if you can't find what you're looking for please contact the captain for more information.
