Life Jackets & Kill cords
All coxswains and launch occupants must wear a life jacket at all times whilst afloat.
The correct use of life jackets and kill cords are considered vitally important for safety. Contraventions will be taken very seriously at the highest level
Cygnet provides four Crewsaver 165N sport life jackets for use by club members and should be adjusted to give a snug but not tight fit and must be worn on top of all other clothing. Always use the crotch strap. Personal life jackets may be worn but at the users own risk. Buoyancy aids are not acceptable.
Life jackets should be hung to dry naturally after use and any damage should be reported immediately.

Kill Cords
A kill cord must be fixed to the launch driver all times when the engine is running. It's purpose is to cut the engine in the event of the driver (accidentally) leaving the boat.
