The Boathouse Executive COMMITTEE

EXEC CALENDAR

BOAT RACKING

CONTACT THE EXEC.

Our boat house is shared by two independent rowing clubs, Cygnet and Barnes Bridge Ladies. Both clubs were originally conceived as and still remain, Civil Service sports clubs. Therefore the boat house is leased by the The Civil Service Sports Council (CSSC) on behalf of both clubs. In turn, both clubs pay a capitation to the CSSC for use of the building. However, because of the specialist nature of rowing, the CSSC leave day-to-day management of the boat house to a separate committee called the Boathouse Executive Committee (the Exec.). This committee is made up of members of both Cygnet and BBLRC and acts as a bridge between the two clubs and the CSSC. As well as the boathouse, the Exec. also manage The Shed, the Ute and all Head Race boating. The Boat House Exec. meets approximately four times a year with an AGM in March/April. The current committee comprises:

Chair • T Broadhurst (Cygnet)
Captain • Pieternel Overweel (BBLRC)
Secretary • M Tensing (BBLRC)
Treasurer • K Castelino (BBLRC)
