End of Season Dinner
END OF SEASON DINNER
The Cygnet End of Season dinner usually takes place in late August or September and is a chance for the active squad to get together for a few beers and chat about the season just past and plans for the future. Although primarily aimed at the active rowing squad, this event is open to all club members - the more the merrier in fact.
The End of Season Dinner is an informal event although the captain will make a little speech, at which you are expected to heckle.
The captain will also take the opportunity to present the Wally Wheldal Cup for Sportsmanship & Endeavour and the J.P. Jefferies Cup to the Clubman of the year.
