Benrath – Cygnet 60th Celebration weekend

Pat Sly very kindly agreed to host a more substantial gathering than usual on her front lawn this year. 31 members of Benrath came over from Germany joining approximately 80 Cygnets and Barnes Bridge Ladies, new and old. With about 125 people attending, and almost perfect weather, it was a memorable occasion with coach transport and profession catering provided for our guests.

Saturday 5th July • Barnes

On Saturday afternoon, there was a gathering at the club with some mixed, side-by-side arranged for our guests, many of whom had never rowed on the Tideway before. 

This was followed by a formal sit down dinner at Ye White Hart. A group of just over 50 members from both clubs enjoyed some top grub, a few (more) beers and a couple of speeches/presentations! 

A few of the weaker-willed members repaired to the club afterwards but we won't go into that...
