Cygnet Weekly Update

All,

Fantastic weather at Sculling Camp and lots of people loosing their single sculling cherries under Tim's watchful eye. And a few choosing to end their scull with a capsize drill and short swim. All part of the learning experience and nothing that experienced scullers haven't experienced whilst they were learning. Good to see so many on the learn to row course at the Bungalow, it will make an eight seem extremely stable after sitting in a single.

Thanks for all those who helping in rigging, trailering, catering (Deon) and respect to Katy, Gareth and Scott who rowed up to the bungalow from the club on Friday.

This Saturday is Chiswick Regataa our first regatta of the season. Entries have been accepted for

Nov 4+ (Sam, Scott, Nick, Cris)
First race at 8:40 vs Parrs Prior & Eton College
Final at 14:20

Nov 1x Dave French
Heat at 11:15, semi at 12:15, final at 15:20

Nov 2x Dave and Scott
Final vs Eton College at 17:20

MasE 1x Capn Jez
Final vs Quintin & Bentham at 9:45

So this week:

Tuesday: Weights (unsupervised)

Wednesday: Water outings for signed off steers

Thursday: Squad ergo 30 min at r24 or water outing for approved steers

LTR Land Session at 7pm leader Jez

Saturday:
Main squad meet at 7:05, OTW at 7:30 for
Non race rowers and pre race outings (TBC confirmed with crews depending on race timings)
LTR Meet at club at 10:00am for ergo warm up, water outing at 10:30

We need to know the exact number of attendees to plan the outings. If there are more than 8 attendees then there will be two consecutive outings at 10:30 and 11:30 with some people lucky enough to be in both outings!!

Sunday Main squad meet at 7:05 OTW by 7:30
Sculler ladder and small boat sprints

Can everyone get their availability up to date till the end of May please!!!!
